Frequently asked questions

Working with Us

Can I work with you regularly or is this only for one-offs?

That’s totally up to you. We love building long-term relationships, but you’re free to explore other options too.

DoI have to sign over exclusive rights? Is there any refund policy if I don’t like ?

Ideally,we ask for exclusive editorial rights, meaning we’re the only press agency representing your material. This helps us control the story and negotiate better fees. That said, we’re flexible depending on the story.

What if I get contacted by publications myself?

We ask that you forward those requests to us. We’re experienced in negotiating proper licensing fees and avoiding “we don’t have a budget, can we use it for free” scenarios.

Do you work with photographers outside the UK?

Yes, we work with photographers and creators around the world.

Can I talk to someone before sending anything in?

Yes, we’re happy to chat. Just drop us an email.

Can I refer other photographers or creators to you?

Please do. We’re always looking for great stories, and referrals from trusted sources are appreciated.

Licensing, Rights, and Payment

Who owns the copyright to the photos or videos I submit?

You do. Always. We only license them on your behalf.

Do I need to sign a new contract each time I submit something?

No. Our contract applies to any material you submit to us. Anything not submitted remains entirely yours and untouched.

Is the contract negotiable if I have special requirements?

Yes. We’re flexible and open to reasonable changes.

How does the revenue split work?

Depending on the story and exclusivity, we offer between 50% and 65% commission, your share.

When do I get paid?

We send sales reports by the 15th of each month. Once you invoice us, we pay within 5 working days.

What currencies do you pay in?

We pay in USD, GBP, EUR, and AUD.

Can I choose how I get paid (PayPal, bank transfer, etc.)?

We currently pay via bank transfers.

Can I see which outlets my work was published in?

Yes. Sales reports include this, and we’ll send PDFs or screenshots when we can.

Do I get a copy or link when something is published?

For bigger or standout publications, yes, we’ll share links, PDFs, or images when possible.

Do you credit me when my photos are used?

Yes. Credit appears as YOUR NAME/TWO POINT O MEDIA.

Sales and Exposure

Where do you sell my material, and how?

We sell stories worldwide through a mix of direct sales and trusted sales partners, helping your work reach a global audience.

Do you pitch stories to international media or just UK-based outlets?

We sell internationally, across the UK, US, Europe, Australia, and beyond.

Will you tag me or promote my work on your social channels?

Yes, and if any ad revenue is generated from social sharing, we’ll share that with you too.

Can I post the published version on my own website or social media?

Of course. It’s your story, feel free to share it.

Rights Enforcement and Protection

What if someone uses my work without permission?

We’ll chase down unauthorized editorial use and try to recover licensing fees. Social media use is not currently included in that.

What should I do if someone uses my work on social media without permission?

Let us know. We’ll try to either secure a fee or have the post taken down.

Can I get feedback if a story doesn’t sell?

Yes. We’ll explain why it may not have landed and suggest tweaks if there’s potential for a second go.

Can I see proof of sales?

Yes. You have the right to audit our records once per year at your own expense.

Why Choose Us

Why should I work with a press agency instead of selling directly?

We know the editors, the formats, and the market. We take care of pitching, writing, negotiation, and paperwork — and we can often secure better rates than individual photographers might on their own.

How do I know you’ll take care of my story properly?

We’re a small, hands-on team that genuinely cares. You’ll always have final approval on what’s sent out, and we’re transparent about where your work goes and what it earns.
